The Story

Poppy and Dad books are a series that focuses on the unique relationship between a dad and his young daughter by Liverpool author Andrew Rogerson.

Andrew lives near Liverpool with his wife and family. He has always loved theatre and music and runs a youth theatre for The Arts Project based in Widnes, Cheshire. His youngest daughter, Poppy, is the subject of the books in the series, which focus on the unique relationship between father and daughter.

The books are beautifully illustrated by Chris Dodd, whose artwork complements the text yet taps into the adult psyche and offers a different narrative perspective.

Christopher Dodd is an Illustrator of children’s books and a graphic designer. Chris’s influences include science fiction and comic books, and these themes often find their way into his sketches. Chris enjoys working traditionally with pencil and paper and never leaves the house without a sketchbook.

The Project

Andrew approached us to develop a brand-new e-commerce platform that would allow him to sell physical copies of his books and provide a base for blogs, news, events, and social media integration. We worked with Andrew and Chris to design a site that fit the aesthetic identity of the books, incorporating Chris’s illustrations. The project was delivered within three months from planning to launch.
