Project Description

MYA SPACE is the only Youth Arts Centre in Sefton. They use performing and creative arts as a tool for youth work including personal, social and emotional wellbeing and development.

Young people are at the centre of their practice and they deliver in an empowering, energetic way.

We were tasked with developing their branding following a successful funding grant from the Big Lottery Fund. This included the design of a brand new logo, colour scheme, marketing materials and signage (both internal and external).

We consulted with service users throughout the process to develop a brand reflective of their experiences at SPACE. The result was a bright mixture of colours and quadrilateral shapes reminiscent of the internal architecture of the youth centre.

Key Features

  • Brand new design – A brand developed through the participation of young people with a design language that reflects the energetic nature of SPACE and it’s service users.

  • Child-friendly language – All content and copy has been written with children & young people as the focus.

  • Marketing Materials – We developed a range of posters, leaflets, flyers and accessories (bottles, pens, bags) to be used to both promote SPACE and to kit out it’s service users

  • Apparel – We designed and printed the SPACE staff team kit as well as t-shirts for their service users.

  • Promotional Video – We developed a short video supporting the organisation in applying funding bids.
