Project Description

The Story

Collective Encounters is a professional arts organisation specialising in theatre for social change through collaborative practice. They use theatre to engage those on the margins of society, telling untold stories and tackling the local, national and international concerns of our time.

They work with young people, adults and older people offering sustained and long terms participatory programmes, using theatre to build confidence, develop skills and explore the issues and ideas which matter to them as well as exciting hosting productions in non-traditional spaces that look to excite, entertain and stimulate debate.

Collective Encounters research theatre for social change practice nationally and internationally with a view to spearheading best practice in the UK using training and capacity building initiatives to develop the capacity of the arts and non-arts sector to deliver high-quality participatory arts activities.

The Project

We were approached by Collective Encounters to redevelop their website based on their pre-existing brand guidelines. It was important to them that their website performed well on all devices and had a plethora of options for those users with a disability.

The website was delivered within 2 months from planning to launch.

Key Features

  • Responsive  – The website works on all devices whether that’s a smartphone, tablet or computer.

  • Accessibility Options – Users have a range of accessibility options to tailor their experience based on their individual needs.

  • Online forms – Users can complete feedback, complaints and application forms directly through the site replacing the previous paper based method.

  • Latest news – Users can keep up to date with events, positive news, competitions and future consultations all in one place.

  • Downloads – All of Collective Encounters resources, leaflets and policies are now available online to access.
